“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Mexico Cruise--January 2005--Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas

Our weekend getaway!

This was our very first cruise and we had to experience embarkation on the top level!

We enjoyed a great weekend with some very dear friends.

I think this was sitting in the area where they had dueling pianos.  Our friend Shawn just had to put my name in the bowl to announce to everyone that is was my birthday.  So the entertainers sang a song to me about flatulence.  It was quite comical and we all had a great time!  I still have their business card tucked away somewhere.

Here we are arriving in Ensenada Mexico.

Hello Carnival!  I have a date with you later.

I have wanted to go scuba diving my whole life and I found a tour guide that didn't require certification.  Looking back I view this as a bad thing, but at the moment it seemed like a great idea.  The wind was blowing and the temperature was in the 50's and 60's our entire weekend.  We still had fun snorkeling in the cove since the water was pretty rough and tour guide treated us to Fish Tacos - from a corner street stand.  I think that may have been the best meal I have ever eaten.  Mmmmm they were delicious and the Tecate washed it down nicely!
