“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain

Lamoille Canyon, Nevada. June 2009

My family lived in Elko Nevada for two and 1/2 years.  There are so many places to explore in this wonderful little valley.  Lamoille Canyon is one of them and offers recreation year round.  We enjoyed the beautiful scenery in the spring with all the waterfalls and the changing of the leaves in Fall to the amazing snowmobiling in the winter.

After leaving Elko to journey to Juneau Alaska and then back to our home state of Montana, Josh and I took a road trip to Elko to visit friends.  We had to take a drive up the canyon for old times sake.

This national Scenic Byway serves as the gateway to the Lamoille Canyon Scenic Area and Ruby Mountain wilderness. Sometimes referred to as the "Yosemite of Nevada," the canyon was heavily carved by glacial activity. A four-stop self guided auto tour with geology interpretive exhibits leads visitors past meadows full of wildflowers, abundant wildlife, waterfalls, and avalanche chutes.

Carnival Imagination Cruise--Mexican Riviera--February 2009

I LOVE cruising!

On board in Miami

First port was Key West on this itinerary.

This is one place Josh and I have on our list to go back and experience more.

Our Shore Excursion (at 10 am no less) was the Pub Crawl.  I was really hesitant to do this but our other shore excursion was cancelled due to wind.  This was one of the funnest excursions we have done so far.  Our tour guide was great and so were the bartenders and the drinks!   Rum punch!

Trying my hand at conch shell blowing.  Much easier for you band members!

Our wonderful Ocean View stateroom.  I do love having a window to peak out of!

My wonderful husband ready for Formal Night dinner!

Here we were getting on our sea taxi to go to Playa Del Carmen at our 2nd destination of Cozumel.

We decided to go on the Jeep and Cavern adventure since the weather was very windy and most of the beach excursions were cancelled.  We went snorkeling in the Cenotes which was pretty cool!

Hello Cuba!
I enjoyed viewing this in our room so we could see where we were.

A view from our hotel back in Miami.  It sure was a beautiful sunset!
